Why Australia Ready
Written from the employer’s side of the desk
Fifteen years of hiring migrants, reading their CVs, and fixing their relocations, distilled into the guide the author kept wishing existed.
01
The Right Visa, Explained
The visa foundations: which pathways exist, what the thresholds mean, and the classification traps that catch people. The map, not your route. We make you a registered agent’s best-prepared client, then get you settled.
02
HR Insider Knowledge
What Australian employers think when they see your CV. The three CV mistakes that get instant rejection. How casual loading, awards, and penalty rates actually work.
03
A 7-Step Journey
Every guide follows the same arc: Considering Australia → choosing your visa → preparing → arriving → first 30 days → settling in → established life. You always know where you are.
04
Six Working Templates
Australian CV, 30-day checklist, budget calculator, email templates, employer research tracker, and salary negotiation card, included with every guide.
05
Scam & Trap Warnings
Sham ABN contracting, fake migration agents, credential-mill "colleges," rental scams, the schemes that specifically target new arrivals, and how to verify who you're dealing with.
06
What Nobody Tells You
Rentals come without a fridge. You arrive with zero credit history. Ambulances are not covered by Medicare. Childcare costs $50–120 a day after subsidy. The real stuff forums skip.

A $97 guide that pays for itself before you land

Moving your savings through a bank instead of an FX specialist2–4% of the transfer, thousands on a relocation
Missing the TFN before your first payday47% withheld until it is fixed
A fake migration agent’s typical fee$5,000–$15,000, gone
Signing a sham ABN “contract”Your super, leave, and workers’ comp
One salary conversation with the negotiation cardOften thousands, every year after

And that is only what it protects. The other half is the edge it gives you: a CV in the format Australian recruiters actually shortlist, award rates checked before you walk into the interview, the negotiation prepared the night before the offer call, and your paperwork already sorted while other candidates are still untangling theirs. Written by a Senior HR professional who has sat on the hiring side of that table for 15+ years.

Every figure above comes from inside the guides, where each one is explained with the fix.

A note from the author
Senior HR Professional · 15+ years relocating people to Australia

For more than fifteen years I worked in HR on the employer’s side of Australian migration, inside some of the country’s biggest companies. I hired people from overseas, moved them here, and quietly sorted things out when no one had told them how Australia actually works.

Here is what that taught me. You can read everything online, ask an AI, memorise the visa rules. But none of it tells you that an expensive suburb backs onto a rough one, that a pretty street has no families and no decent school, or how a place feels when you walk it at nine at night. That knowledge comes from people who have lived it, and it is what I’ve put into these guides.

This was always the part of the job I loved most: the family with a picnic on the sand on a bright Saturday. The new arrival walking safe, clean streets in a city that is suddenly home. The couple taking long weekends in the wine country on a salary bigger than either of them once thought possible, truly living in the place they chose.

So I want three things for you. To settle, not just arrive, but belong. To make every big decision here an informed one, with the real numbers and the real rules in front of you. And to be a very hard target for the people who prey on new arrivals.

Do the work in these pages and you’ll land better prepared than most people who have lived here for years.

FAQ
Common questions
Which guide should I start with?
If you're moving from the UK, NZ, India, the US, the Philippines, or South Africa, start with your country guide, it includes sector carve-outs for the major professions, so it covers both where you're from and what you do. Moving from anywhere else? The Universal Skilled Migration Guide is built for you. If your profession is the defining factor in your move (AHPRA registration, a CDR, a trades assessment), the occupation guide goes deeper on that pathway.
What format are the guides?
Each guide is a premium interactive HTML file that opens in any browser on any device and works offline once downloaded. Sidebar navigation follows the 7-step journey, and checklists are interactive, tick items off as you complete them and your progress saves automatically between visits. Every purchase also includes six editable templates in Word, Excel, and PDF formats.
How current is the information?
All figures are verified against official Australian sources, visa fees, income thresholds like the Core Skills Income Threshold, superannuation, and tax settings for the current financial year. Every guide also includes an "Annual update sources" section listing the official government pages where each figure lives, so you can verify anything yourself at any time.
Is this legal, migration, or financial advice?
No. These are general information guides, not personal advice. Only agents registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) can lawfully provide immigration assistance, you can verify any agent at mara.gov.au. For tax matters, use a registered tax agent. These are settlement guides first: the visa chapters give you the foundations so you walk into any agent conversation as their best-prepared client, and the rest of the guide takes over from the day your visa is granted.
What's the difference between the $97 and $67 guides?
The $97 guides are complete relocation guides covering the full journey from deciding to move through to established life. The $67 companions are focused situation guides, the first 90 days after arrival, the working holiday route, or FIFO life, designed to pair with a full guide or stand alone if that situation is your whole story.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are instantly delivered digital products, refunds are handled in line with Australian Consumer Law, see the Terms & Conditions for details. If something is wrong with your download, contact us and we'll make it right.
